Raksha A. Aithal, M.Sc. Psychology with clinical specialisation, is an Associate Psychologist at The Innerworld Counselling for Mental Well-Being, currently serving as a Student Counsellor at Acharya Institute. She is passionate about promoting mental health, emotional well-being, and personal growth through counselling, psychoeducation, and psychological support services. She works closely with students and young adults, providing individual counselling for academic stress, anxiety, emotional difficulties, adjustment challenges, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and personal development. She also conducts psychoeducational workshops and mental health awareness programs focused on resilience, stress management, self-care, coping skills, and overall psychological well-being. In addition to counselling, Raksha is involved in psychological assessments, report preparation, work in special education settings, and mental health outreach initiatives. She collaborates with educational institutions and support systems to create safe, supportive, and emotionally healthy environments that foster growth and well-being. Raksha adopts an integrative and client-centred approach to counselling, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Art-Based Interventions, and other evidence-informed therapeutic techniques. She believes that every individual’s journey is unique and tailors interventions to each person’s specific needs, strengths, and goals. Alongside her professional work, Raksha’s Master’s training provided extensive exposure to psychiatric and rehabilitation settings, psycho-oncology services, community mental health initiatives, and multidisciplinary clinical practices. Her academic journey also involved research, psychometric tool development, and the delivery of mental health awareness programs across educational and community settings, enriching her holistic understanding of psychological well-being. Guided by empathy, collaboration, and ethical practice, she strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space that supports self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.
